Lead Organizer

Overview of Role:

Organized Interiors is looking for a hard-working, highly organized individual to join our team as a Lead Organizer

Details:

  • Works Closely With: Owner and other Organizers

  • Hours: 1-25 hours/week; hours not guaranteed 

  • Status: Part-Time Employee Position

Common Tasks:

  • Responsible for sorting, moving and storing items on site

  • Work to categorize a client's possessions for easy editing and purging, and place the client's items into organizational systems

  • Help to maintain a tidy and professional environment throughout the course of an organizing session or move management job

  • Assist with managing organizing supplies 

Responsibilities on Site:

  • Lead teams of 2 - 4 organizers during organizing sessions

  • Sort and label items in a room or space, creating logical groupings for a client to review

  • Work directly with a client and assist in editing or purging belongings

  • Put trash, recycling, and donation items into the appropriate receptacles while on site 

  • Use organizing products to create systems with the items that clients keep after editing

  • Collaborate with owner to select containers and generate shopping list 

  • Label bins, boxes, containers, etc. using a label maker

  • Assemble small furniture items, such as shelving units 

  • Transport organizing materials, supplies, donated items, trash, or recycling to appropriate offsite locations if requested 

  • Perform additional assignments as directed by owner

Administrative: 

  • Enter time and expenses into time and expense sheets weekly

  • Keep availability up to date

  • Coordinate with owner regarding pre-project assistance, project review, and travel 

  • Take photos and videos before, during, and after projects and upload them to client folders

  • Review client folders and to-do's prior to and during each project 

  • Complete an inventory count at the end of each session

Requirements 

  • Understanding of basic organizing techniques

  • Ability to work closely with a team 

  • Tech skills (i.e. smart phone, cloud based systems)

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and to climb stairs 

  • Drive a car that has room to hold donation drop offs and product supplies

Schedule:

  • Part-time schedule 

  • Jobs are scheduled within the hours of 9:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday

  • Available to work 5 days / week 

  • Hours are not guaranteed, but dependent on how much work we have 

  • May include some evening or weekend hours

Compensation:

  • The pay rate will start at $25/hr
